"It's All About The Boots!"

Woof Hoofs are designed to provide the best combination of performance, durability, comfort and value.

Dog boots should allow your dog to do virtually everything he/she could do with bare paws only with protection from the elements. They should also perform virtually trouble free for the owner. No constant adjusting or refitting boots that have fallen off. We’re not just talking about a casual walk, but full-speed sprints, stops and starts in all-terrains and conditions. When properly fitted and fastened, with Woof Hoofs there should be no flipping, slipping or falling off.

Like human shoes, how long a dog boot lasts depends a lot on frequency of use and the conditions it is put through. The general rule at Woof Hoofs is we expect that with proper care and prescribed maintenance, a set of Woof Hoofs should last an entire season. After that keep the old set for situations where you know they’re going to get beat up and get a new set for when your dog needs to show off.

If a dog has never worn boots before, there will probably be some getting used to. However, Woof Hoofs places a high priority on comfort. If the boots are too stiff, loose, tight, or abrasive a dog may never get used to them. We expect that with a little training and practice a dog will soon forget they are wearing Woof Hoofs and will run and play in harsh conditions with greater freedom and confidence than ever before.

We believe that it shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to make sure a dog is protected from paw injury or discomfort. We design and produce our dog boots with simplicity and efficiency so that we can price them fairly and affordably. We want to develop a loyal base of customers that come back again and again. Therefore we strive to make the buying decision as easy as possible.

A "Tail" of Triumph

Instead of us leaving the Emigrant Wilderness with our tails between our legs, this time we powered through with Baxter leading the way!

About

Woof Hoofs dog boot company began as a result of a backpacking mishap in the summer of 2009. After a nine mile hike into the heart of the backcountry, my dog Baxter developed a badly blistered front paw. I applied first-aid and made a "bootie" for him out of one of my socks and some medical tape. Fortunately, we made it home safely the next day. I was determined not to let this experience cause him to miss out on future adventures.

Trying to find a set of dog boots that would be comfortable, durable and reliable led to some frustration and disappointment with the products on the market. So, I decided to design a boot that Baxter and I would be satisfied with. The goal was to make a boot that dogs liked and that would be virtually trouble free. No constant adjusting or searching for boots that had fallen off. The result was Woof Hoofs. When properly fitted and fastened a dog should be able to do full-speed sprints, starts and stops in all terrains and conditions. With no flipping, slipping or falling off!

We've achieved that essential goal and continue to strive for excellence. My hope is that when you purchase a set of Woof Hoofs, you and your dog will benefit from all of the thought and effort that went into making them.
